About the Role:

At Cipher Skin, we push the boundaries of what is possible. We’re building the next generation smart clothing that tracks and measures motion and biometric signals from human bodies and the built world. The PR and Brand Communications manager will bring storytelling magic to Cipher Skin. You’re the right person for this role if you know where to look for a story, how to uncover it, and where to run it. You’re also fascinated with new forms of media and can adapt any story no matter how big or small. Your responsibilities will include owning and managing brand communicationsmedia relations, public relations, and social media.  

What You’ll Do

Public Relations 

  • Create and manage PR strategies to support brand awareness and adoption of Cipher Skin.  
  • Build and nurture relationships with press across business, tech, and industry specific media. 
  • Develop PR materials, including announcements, messaging, pitches, press kits, etc. 
  • Manage attendance, speaking submissions, and internal process for Cipher Skin’s events, conferences, and speaking engagements. 
  • Manage any external partnerships supporting public relations activities.  
  • Measure and track the performance of our PR programs based on agreed upon metrics and KPIs. 

Social Media 

  • Build social media strategies to grow our organic social presence and influence. 
  • Create organic social content that is informative, appealing and delivers to goals.  
  • Handle social listening within our social channels, ensure we are engaging and responding to our community; help identify common trends/feedback/insights.  
  • Build out an influencer relations program for Cipher Skin. Identify key influencers, develop relationship building and eventually co-marketing plans. 

Brand 

  • Partner with VP of marketing to build brand guidelines, design systems, and positioning.  
  • Oversee development, updating, and distribution of brand messaging/positioning guidelines, style guides, and other assets. 
  • Ensure consistency in brand look/feel/messaging and enforce brand standards internally and externally.  
  • Manage digital assets to ensure team members have quick access to content, collateral, and resources. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or a comparable field. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a public relations or brand marketing role, with at least 2+ year experience doing PR in-house, and 1+ year experience managing social media. 
  • Strong writer with the ability to write in different formats and for different audiences. 
  • A technical mind with the ability to quickly extract, synthesize, and relay key information from multiple sources without becoming overwhelmed.  
  • A strong eye for design and previous experience working with creative teams and designers  
  • Relationship builder with strong social skills enabling your influence at all levels.  
  • Comfortable working with and driving consensus across multiple stakeholders, including executives.  
  • A reputation as a self-starter. The right person will also be adept at working in a team environment to define new processes and policies  
  • Tech and/or B2B software experience is beneficial but not required.

What You’ll Do
  • Own software features of the iOS/Android App: build, deploy, iterate. You’re responsible for what you’re building, and you have some creative control over the direction you take
  • Ship code to production frequently, often daily
  • Work at all levels of the stack – infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes), database (PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch), services (Node, Python, Celery, TensorFlow, Keras), and frontend (React, Redux)

We are an early-stage startup seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who has significant, multidisciplinary, engineering experience with mobile-first applications, data integration, as well as working knowledge of data science. You will be the first full-time software engineer and the primary architect of Cipher Skin’s Digital Mirror. You will be responsible for growing, monitoring and leading a team of programmers while working with other senior engineers across disciplines. You will work with the exec staff to ensure the on-time delivery of the relevant product. You will answer to the Head of Engineering to start. This position is full-time and relocation to Denver, Colorado is required.

What you’ll do: 
  • Build / Deploy / Scale our data platform. Specific tasks will include:
    • Manage AWS platform 
    • Define, Implement and Maintain scalable database 
    • Enable secure connection to iOS/Android devices 
    • Monitoring data traffic and trigger system Alerts 
Qualifications must include some of the following: 
  • A bachelor’s degree in one of the following is required from a top tier engineering program: Computer Science, Data Science, Symbolic Systems, Mathematics, Physics; STRONG preference for Master’s degree. 
  • Must have prior experience with AWS. Preferably with features such as Cognito, Amplify, Lambda Functions, EC2, S3. 
  • Preferably have experience with web technologies such as socket.io, webRTC, and Twilio. 
  • Strong curiosity and a willingness to learn and talk about emerging technologies along with a positive and enthusiastic engagement style. 
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals, software design and programming skills. 
  • Experience in enterprise application design and development of systems in Linux/Unix environment.

About the Role:

  • Cipher Skin builds on body medical wearables which track movement and biometrics. We use them to quantify human movement in rehab, recovery, and performance. These measurements are creating the world’s first database of integrated human data.
  • The Product Lead position is responsible for spearheading the product development life cycle of our software product solution (the Digital Mirror and Digital Mirror Provider) to existing and new customers. You’ll focus on UX design, and on what constitutes a world-class user experience. We want to create a delightful and meaningful product experience for end-users!
  • You will work with the marketing team to define customer driven features and capabilities, inform marketing strategy, co-own and manage ongoing competitor analysis, oversee product testing with the data team, routinely communicate product performance and development with the executive staff. You will own and be the final decider of the product roadmap with consultation from the executive team.

About this role:

Cipher Skin builds on body medical wearables which track movement and biometrics. We use them to quantify human movement in rehab, recovery, and performance. These measurements are creating the world’s first database of integrated human data. We are looking for an experienced startup operations leader with a T shaped skill set who can build, automate, and scale our ecommerce operations. We are launching our hardware product application, the Bio Sleeve, out of beta and need your expertise to deliver product across the US in a timely manner as well as provide an excellent customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive operational scale and efficiency.
  • Create and own the plan to scale our ability to deliver thousands of BioSleeves per month.
  • Define, implement, and evaluate metrics and goals to ensure we meet our goal of top line $10M revenue for 2021 and beyond.
  • Collaborate with sales/BD, marketing, and product teams internally. Be able to successfully collaborate with manufacturing partners, fulfillment service partners, shipping partners.
  • Work with the CEO and COO on building and scaling
  • Build, automate, and scale ecommerce operations.
  • Report to exec staff regularly on operation metrics
  • Rigorously set and measure operational metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators) that support data driven decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams on product/materials tracking and availability and data consistency for fulfillment operations.
  • Work with legal team to ensure that product delivery complies with local, county, state, and federal laws, and regulations.
  • Own and manage E-commerce supply chain.
  • Working with the COO manage customer service.
  • Manage our payment software platform with the head of marketing.
  • Work with engineering on sourcing alternative suppliers
  • Work with our manufacturing partner(s) to ensure on-time production and shipment of products.
  • Establish and manage our partnership with a fulfillment service.
  • Own and manage inventory of hardware devices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s of science degree in economics, business, operations. MBA is a PLUS.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrable relevant experience with supply chain management that supports ecommerce of durable goods.
  • Experience successfully launching ecommerce operations.
  • Ability to work across multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrable experience in early-stage startups. You know what it is like to setup and scale operations.
  • Data driven mindset with proven experience utilizing metrics and insights as tools for informed decision making.
  • Experience with Fishbowl™ or equivalent inventory software.
